Yesterday we went to the seaside for a post Christmas walk, it's something of a tradition in Britain - Do something vaguely strenuous the day after trying to eat your own body weight in Quality Street. It was incredibly cold we walked out on the sand far enough to see the sea then turned tail to the shelter of the trees.

Today, we again had a blowout meal as it was Simon's Grandfather's Birthday.

It snowed a little as well but I won't make my American and Canadian readers laugh by pinging up a photo of it as it had to be measured in millimetres rather than in centimetres.

  1. We measure our "snow" in kilograms in Miami. And most of our snow is imported from hot and humid Colombia.

I am back into the healthy living thing. I went out and bought myself a $500 (like 100 pounds with the exchange rate now) bicycle. I will have to ride it, I had to put up a lot of scratch for it!

  2. we did have some snow, quite a nice amount even, but then it warmed up and rained... and has continued to do so, so most of the snow is gone, or it's scattered piles of ice. It's rained for about a week now, and it keeps hovering around the freezing point, so we had a greenish Christmas.

  4. Iggy - Well OK yeah it's true the only snow you are likely to see at Christmas in Florida is when watching "Its a Wonderful Life" for the 99th thousand time on TV. Healthy living here has to wait a little longer we've got more Christmas visiting to do and then New Year.

Emily - That's a shame, I once spent a Christmas in Spokane we had snow then but it was a touch and go thing.

Freiya - Happy Belated Christmas to you too and a Happy New Year
